By using KaWaii Bot, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and privacy policy. If you do not agree, stop using the bot immediately.
What is KaWaii?
KaWaii Bot (kawaii or カワイイ, meaning "cute" in Japanese) is a Discord bot that:
- Provides anime and manga information from various sources
- Features an AI-powered chat companion with anime-themed personality
- Offers server management and entertainment features
- Helps create an engaging anime community experience
NOTE: KaWaii is a third-party bot and is not officially affiliated with Discord, any anime studios, or manga publishers.
IMPORTANT: Discord's Terms of Service and policies take precedence over these terms. In case of any conflicts between these terms and Discord's policies, Discord's policies will prevail.
CHARACTER ARTWORK ATTRIBUTION: The character artwork used across this project (not limited to website, Discord bot avatar, icons, and other visual elements) is from the anime "Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian" (時々ボソッとロシア語でデレる隣のアーリャさん). All rights to these images belong to their original rights holders. We claim no ownership of this intellectual property and use it under fair use for reference purposes only.
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using KaWaii Bot, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not use our bot.
2. Usage Guidelines
Users must not:
- Abuse, harass, or spam using the bot
- Attempt to exploit bugs or vulnerabilities
- Use the bot for any illegal purposes
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or restrictions
3. Server-Wide Usage
For servers where KaWaii Bot is added:
- The server administrator/owner who adds the bot accepts primary responsibility for its use within their server
- Server administrators should inform their members about the bot's presence and these terms
- Members using the bot's features are individually bound by these terms
- Server administrators should:
- Configure appropriate channel permissions for the bot
- Monitor bot usage within their server
- Remove the bot if it conflicts with server rules or needs
- Ensure responsible use of moderation features like message snipe
- KaWaii Bot is not responsible for:
- Unauthorized bot usage by server members
- Content generated in response to member requests
- Conflicts between server rules and bot functionality
- Misuse of moderation features by server staff
NOTE: While server administrators are responsible for adding the bot, each individual user must comply with these terms when using bot commands or features.
4. Content Disclaimer
The bot retrieves anime information from third-party sources. We:
- Do not own or create the anime content displayed
- Cannot guarantee content accuracy or appropriateness
- Are not responsible for any third-party links or content
- Reserve the right to filter or block inappropriate content
5. AI Chatbot Terms
The KaWaii AI Chatbot is for entertainment purposes only.
By using the KaWaii AI Chatbot feature, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The chatbot is a fictional character for entertainment
- Responses are AI-generated and may be unpredictable
- You will not share personal/sensitive information with the bot
- The bot uses Discord channel history for context (not stored)
- No permanent chat logs or conversation history are stored
- The bot may occasionally produce inaccurate or inappropriate content
- We are not liable for any emotional attachment to the bot
- Bot interactions should not be taken as professional advice
- We may modify the bot's personality or responses at any time
- Users must not attempt to manipulate or exploit the bot's behavior
IMPORTANT: The chatbot:
- Is not a substitute for human interaction or relationships
- Should not be used for medical, legal, or psychological advice
- May not understand real-world consequences or context
- Cannot form genuine emotional connections
6. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless KaWaii Bot, its authors, and operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the bot
- Your violation of these terms
- Your interaction with other users
- Any content accessed through the bot
7. Disclaimer of Liability
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK: KaWaii Bot and its authors:
- Provide the bot "AS IS" without any warranties
- Are not responsible for any content displayed through the bot
- Are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from bot use
- May contain errors or inaccuracies in anime information
- Make no guarantees about availability or functionality
8. Limitations
We reserve the right to modify or terminate services
- We may block users who violate these terms
- These terms may be updated at any time
Privacy Policy
1. Data Collection
We collect minimal data required for bot functionality:
- Discord user IDs for command interactions
- Server IDs where commands are used
- Command usage logs (which commands are used and when)
- Channel IDs for message handling
- Recently deleted messages for the snipe feature (temporary storage)
IMPORTANT:
- All logged data is automatically deleted after 7 days
- Deleted messages are stored for 24 hour only
- We do NOT permanently store any message content
- We do NOT store any personal information beyond Discord's public user IDs
- We do NOT store user conversations with the bot
- Command usage logs are only used for bot improvement and abuse prevention
2. Feature-Specific Data Storage
Some bot features require storing specific data to function properly. By using these features, you authorize us to store:
- Server-specific settings (such as custom prefixes)
- News alert configurations (channel IDs, ping roles, server IDs)
- Other feature-specific settings that you configure
User Consent and Control:
- This data is stored only when you explicitly configure these features
- Server administrators can delete this data at any time by removing the bot or disabling features
- As we add new features, we may store additional configuration data with your authorization
- We only store data that is necessary for the features you choose to use
- You can request to view what feature-specific data is stored for your server
3. Data Usage
The collected data is used solely for:
- Basic bot functionality and command processing
- Temporary command logging for abuse prevention
- Bot performance monitoring and improvements
- Server-specific configuration storage
4. Data Protection
To protect your privacy:
- All logged data is automatically purged after 7 days
- Access to logs is strictly limited to bot administrators
- No personal information is shared with third parties
- We implement security measures to protect stored data
